Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has strongly condemned Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav over an incident in Amethi on Tuesday night, where SP workers abused and threatened to kill local MLA Maharaji Prajapati at her residence.
He alleged that the status of non-Yadav backward castes and Dalits within the Samajwadi Party is limited merely to “carrying flags and laying carpets”.

Referring to the attack on the house of Amethi SP MLA Maharaji Prajapati, Rajbhar wrote on his social media post on Thursday that, “Akhilesh Yadav ji, it is now clear that the status of non-Yadav backward castes and Dalits in the Samajwadi Party is limited to carrying flags, laying carpets, and voting.” “Ahirs claim first of respect, security, and power… the rest can go to hell.”

He further said, “Have some shame. Your own party’s female MLA, who belongs to the Prajapati community, is being assaulted, publicly abused, and threatened with death by Samajwadi Party goons. The MLA’s son himself is naming names on camera, saying that Jai Yadav, Balram Yadav, and Sher Bahadur Yadav are beating and threatening his mother…”
“But Akhilesh Yadav Babu, you are maintaining complete silence. You are turning a blind eye like Dhritrashtra. In the Mahabharata, Dhritrashtra was blinded by his love for his son, but today you are blinded by your love for the “Yadavs.”
Rajbhar said, “Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of Twitter, AC and Press Conference, all the Bahujan castes know you very well. They all say the same thing about you: Even though goons have no caste, every goon is definitely a Samajwadi Party member.”
“Those who are still confused should understand that this is the true face of your PDA. For Akhilesh, the PDA is merely a slogan on election posters… In reality, non-Yadav backward castes and Dalits face humiliation, and Akhilesh’s patronage is based solely on caste,” he added.
The SBSP president commented, “Listen Akhilesh, when a female MLA from your own party isn’t safe from your goons, what must your SP goons be doing to the daughters of the poor and backward communities in the state… No one has forgotten the years 2012-2017.”
On Tuesday, Anurag Prajapati, son of Amethi SP MLA Maharaji Prajapati, filed a complaint with the police, alleging that more than a dozen people came to his residence in Awas Vikas Colony, assaulted him, and verbally abused his mother. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. Anurag Prajapati demanded that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav take cognisance of the matter and initiate strict action.
On Wednesday, the police took action against five of the named accused. The police are investigating the entire matter.
